Linesville Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Service is located in Linesville, Pennsylvania. Linesville is a small community of 1,040 full-time residents located in Crawford County in northwestern Pennsylvania. The community sits on the northern shores of the Pymatuning Reservoir and is home to the famous Spillway “where the ducks walk on the fish”, which draws hundreds of thousands of visitors each year during the summer. The community is also known famously for being the exact halfway point for those traveling the 1,000 mile trip on historic U.S. Highway 6 between the cities of Chicago and New York. This vibrant farming town serves as home to 5 churches, a high school, a variety of restaurants, a gas station and convenience store, a hardware store, a drug store, a bicycle shop, 2 grocery stores, a doctor’s office, and various other businesses.


Linesville Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Service provides fire/rescue and basic life support services to the municipalities of Linesville borough, Pine Township and parts of Conneaut Township, along with the northern portion of the Pymatuning Reservoir. These municipalities make up an area of approximately 50 square miles with a population of about 3,100 residents. Linesville Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Service also provides a variety of mutual aid services to surrounding departments in western Crawford County, along with those in eastern Ashtabula County in Ohio.


In order to efficiently serve the areas mentioned above, Linesville Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Services has a full fleet of emergency vehicles. For fire/rescue, the department has 3 fully-equipped engines, including one with rescue tools, a brush truck/mini-pumper, an all-terrain vehicle with firefighting and rescue capabilities, and a rescue boat. For basic life support services, the department has a fully-equipped ambulance. The department currently has about 30 active members responding a variety of fire/rescue and emergency medical calls.
